Dyed Galaxy Shoes

I love everything galaxy, and so I decided to try out a technique I saw online on some shoes.
Basically all you need is:
-a pair of white or blank canvas shoes (you can get these for really cheap at a lot of discount stores)
-dye in blue and pink (I used some out of a tie dye kit)
-sponges
-white acrylic paint
To start off, soak the shoes (and the shoelaces) in some water. Then begin sponging on pink and blue wherever you'd like. Just go crazy with it! You can sponge on some water over the top to sort of make the dyes swirl around a bit. Once you're done adding colour, flick or dot white acrylic paint on to make stars.
That's it! (Let them dry, of course!)

Painted Pencil Bag

I felt like painting the other day, and so I decided to decorate a blank pencil bag (or you could use it for whatever) that I bought at Hobby Lobby awhile back. I did one once before freehanded (it was an MGMT one!), but I wanted to try out painter's tape this time. I made some triangles and rectangles with the painter's tape first, and then pretty much just swirled random colours around. Then I removed the tape and wala! The paint went under the tape in a couple of places, but I really like the outcome anyway!

DIY Glitter Key

I saw this on Pinterest the other day, and I decided I would make it!
Start out with any key you don't want or don't need to use. Paint glue on the top half of it, making sure to cover both sides. (I used tacky glue, but there are probably other kinds of glue you can use)
Then sprinkle glitter over the glue. I used several different colours for mine. When you're done, let it dry a while and then paint over it with clear top coat nail polish. You can put it on a necklace when you're done, which is what I did! Or I bet there are other cool things you could do with it as well! : )

DIY popsicle stick bracelets

So I've been seeing these popsicle stick bracelets lately on the internet, and I decided to try to make them myself. It's super easy and they look really cute!
What you'll need:
-popsicle/craft stick (you can get these at most craft stores)
-cup or glass filled with water
-acrylic paint and paintbrushes
-anything else you want to decorate the bracelet
First of all, take a popsicle stick/wooden craft stick and get both ends of it wet. This is so it will bend and go in the cup without breaking. Then slowly bend it into the cup and slide it all to the bottom. Let it sit in the bottom of the cup for awhile (I left it in for about an hour, though you might be able to leave it in for less). Then, without taking the popsicle stick/bracelet out, pour the water out of the cup. Now let it stay in the cup until it is completely dry. Then you can take it out and paint or decorate it!
